USP <71> recognises two sterility test methods: membrane filtration and direct inoculation. In membrane filtration, the sample passes through a sterile membrane of 0.45 µm nominal pore size or smaller, which retains bacteria and fungi, and the membrane then goes into culture medium for incubation.
This sterility test unit is built in single, three or six station versions. The three- and six-station units come with an SS stand and piping, and all are made in SS 316 or 316L with a mirror polish.
Station count sets how many tests run side by side. Send an enquiry for a 3 station or 6 station SS sterility test unit.
